Woolly Mammoths (extinct 12,000 years ago)

Woolly mammoths were as big as today’s African elephants. In addition, they were covered in fur so that they could survive in very cold environments. Since they were BIG mammals, they had to eat as much as 400 pounds worth of food per day! WOWZA!
